The North Haven Congregational Church (NHCC) was in full volunteer work mode gearing up to prepare Thanksgiving food baskets for 78 families in need. Through generous donations received and given by all of North Haven’s churches and service clubs, these families will receive enough fresh food to last them throughout the holiday weekend. The food drive is ongoing through Christmas.

Pictured here are NHCC volunteers Jeanne Maurer, Bob Maurer, and Eleanor Harple and Rev. Matthew Lincoln, pastor of St. John’s Episcopal Church sort cans for the food baskets.

For more information about the annual Holiday Food Drive and to provide (in confidence) the names of individuals in need of assistance, call the First Selectman’s Office at 203-239-5321, ext. 760; the Department of Community Services at 203-239-5321, ext. 780; or NHCC at 203-239-5691.
